Leader Portal
Sharepoint Site for Leaders and Trustees
The link will only work for those with access to our Sharepoint site (leaders and trustees). Your access is based on your email address. Please contact the Group Lead Volunteer if you have any difficulties accessing the site.
Agendas and minutes for group meetings and AGMs, leaders' expenses policy, insurance documents, accounts, stationery/letter templates, information for new leaders etc. are all stored on here.
Additionally, there are separate areas for each section that only leaders for that section can access. The areas can be used however the respective Team Leader determines.
OSM
Our group uses Online Scout Manager to manager the records for all member our our Scout Group, including leaders. When you join you will be invited to create an OSM account. It is essential that you keep your profile on OSM up to date in addition to your profile on the Scout Association Membership System.
The Scout Association Membership System
Membership records for all Leaders are kept on the Scout Association's membership system. DBS checks, training, nights away permits etc. are all managed through this system. Like OSM, you must keep your contact information up to date on this membership system.
The Scout Store
Scout Store is owned by the Scouts and all of the profits go directly back into Scouting. They are the dedicated and official uniform retailer for scouting, including leaders. This is also where we buy badges, certificates and neckers from, but these are only available for purchase by scout leaders.
The Scout Association Discount Codes
There are various discount codes available for members of the Scout Association. Some are for leaders but some are available to youth members and their parents.
Report a Safety Incident
You will need to submit a report to UK Headquarters if:
- Someone suffers a personal injury or illness and needs to seek medical help or advice. This may include a GP, hospital, clinic or dentist.
- Someone needs an emergency service such as an ambulance, mountain rescue or the police.
- There is damage to third party property.
- Incidents that could have resulted in significant injury or impact, or could have been much worse given a few minor changes to the situation. A near miss report allows the UK team to monitor these events.
Safety incidences, including near misses, should be recorded on OSM, which is where 1st Aldbourne (Dabchick) Scout Group keeps its Accident Book (virtually).
